Mary Anderson is the founder and principal of First Tracks Group, providing strategy, marketing, and technology innovation consulting for Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, and start-ups. Mary has helped companies across many industries develop and grow new products and services. Consulting engagements have helped companies identify and launch new market opportunities, grow sales, and build employee capabilities.
Mary provides actionable consulting and project management services leveraging a deep expertise in business planning, marketing, and new technology. Her experience is built on a foundation of brand management, finance, accounting, and operations.
As a former VP Marketing, she successfully led the planning and launch of the online distribution channel for the largest specialty food distributor in the U.S. and supported the start-up of an innovative micro-franchise in Managua, Nicaragua. Mary managed brands for The Quaker Oats Company and launched their e-grocery initiative, collaborating to develop brand-specific strategies and online marketing programs for Gatorade and other Quaker brands. Mary also has published a variety of nonprofit governance resources based on past volunteer and board experience.
Mary has a Masters of Management degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and received her undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of Illinois.
